A document and image converter that runs entirely in the browser — PDF, DOCX, TXT, JPG, PNG and WebP files convert, merge, and split without ever being uploaded to a server. Ten conversion types, all processed locally.
A PDF bank statement is easy to read and hard to work with — pulling numbers into a budget or expense sheet usually means retyping every line by hand. ClearConvert's PDF-to-CSV conversion is built for this: it rebuilds the rows and columns from the positions of the text on each page, recognises dates in numeric forms and with month names in seven languages, and keeps dates and amounts as printed unless you choose plain numbers. A notice under the result lists anything that looks wrong. This works on text-layer PDFs — a scanned or photographed statement won't convert, since there's no text underneath to extract.
DOCX and PDF convert in both directions, but only the text makes the trip. DOCX to PDF sets the plain text of the Word file in one font on A4 pages: styles, lists, tables and images are not carried over, each tab becomes four spaces, so tab-aligned columns will not line up, and the built-in DejaVu Sans font has no characters for CJK scripts or emoji, so those come out blank. PDF to DOCX works the same way in reverse, one paragraph per line. TXT files convert to PDF as well, useful for turning a plain draft into something that looks finished enough to send. For what a TXT-to-PDF conversion keeps and loses, see our test of TXT to PDF conversion.
Multiple PDFs — scanned receipts, signed contract pages, separate report sections — merge into one file with drag-to-reorder before combining, so the final order doesn't depend on getting the upload sequence right the first time. A single large PDF splits the other direction using page-range syntax (1-3, 5, 8-10), useful for pulling out just the pages that are actually needed rather than sharing the whole document.
JPG, PNG and WebP images become a PDF with one page per image, in the order of the list — drag to reorder before converting. Pages can be A4, Letter or the size of each image, with automatic, portrait or landscape orientation and a choice of margin. Each image is redrawn before it goes into the PDF, so the photo's EXIF data — GPS location, camera make and model — is not carried over. HEIC photos need to be exported as JPG first. In the other direction, PDF to JPG turns pages into JPG images at 72, 150 or 300 DPI, up to 300 pages per run; one page downloads as a JPG, several as a ZIP. Very large images are scaled down to the browser's limit.
No. Every conversion runs in the browser itself — nothing is sent to a server at any point.
Not currently. PDF-to-CSV conversion requires a text layer to extract from — a scanned or photographed document has no underlying text for the tool to read.
There are no bank-specific profiles: the converter uses the same general rules for columns, dates, signs and page headers on every statement, and it has been tested on synthetic statements, not on any real bank's PDFs. Check the number of rows, the totals and the signs against the statement, and read the notice under the result.
JPG, PNG and WebP. GIF, BMP, TIFF, AVIF, SVG and HEIC images are not supported — export HEIC photos as JPG first.
Not at this time — ClearConvert accepts PDF, DOCX, TXT, JPG, PNG and WebP files as input; CSV is currently only available as an output format from PDF-to-CSV conversion.
