Uppercase Converter Online

Paste any text and convert it to UPPERCASE instantly. Also supports lowercase, Title Case, and Sentence case. Runs entirely in your browser — no upload, no account.

Four Case Formats in One Tool

ClearText Editor handles all four common case conversions from a single panel. UPPERCASE converts every letter to its capital form. lowercase does the opposite, normalising text that arrived in mixed or all-caps. Title Case capitalises every word except short words such as a, of, the and to, which stay lowercase unless they come first or last, or after a colon, a dash or a full stop. Sentence case capitalises the first letter of each sentence and each line and lowercases the rest. Both keep acronyms and brand spellings such as PDF and iPhone as typed, but cannot recognise names with a single capital such as Google, so read the result before you use it.

Each conversion applies instantly to everything in the editor. Switch between formats as many times as you need without reloading or re-pasting your text.

When You Need Uppercase

Social media writers use uppercase for emphasis that bold formatting cannot provide on plain-text platforms. Legal and compliance documents frequently require section headings, party names, and defined terms to appear in all-caps. Form fields in government and banking systems often enforce uppercase input — converting in advance saves manual retyping.

Developers use uppercase when naming environment variables and constants, where the convention is universal. Acronym writers use it to ensure abbreviations are consistently capitalised across a long document without hunting for each instance manually.

Your text never leaves your browser. No server, no account required. Your last text is kept in this browser only, never uploaded; the Clear Text button in ClearText Editor deletes it.

Beyond Case Conversion

The same tool that converts case also gives you a live word count, character count, reading time, and speaking time as you work. When your text needs further cleaning, the Text Purifier panel removes double spaces, strips empty lines, and drops stray special characters — all without leaving the editor.

Does it support all languages?

Yes. All four buttons follow the Unicode standard, so accented letters such as é, ñ and ü and scripts such as Greek and Cyrillic convert correctly: in Title Case, über becomes Über and привет becomes Привет. The list of short words that Title Case keeps lowercase is English only.

Can I convert back to lowercase?

Yes. Lowercase conversion is available in the same Case Converter panel with one click. You can switch between uppercase, lowercase, title case, and sentence case as many times as needed without re-pasting your text.

Is there a character limit?

No. Paste as much text as you need — a single word, a paragraph, or an entire document. The converter processes any length instantly with no slowdown.
